Student Minister and Wife

I was born in Shreveport, LA on November 7, 1986 and raised in Homer, LA since I was three years old. My parents, Jeff and Mary Canterbury, still reside there. My father is a music minister, and my mother is a school teacher. I have one brother, Blake Canterbury, who is also married and resides in Bossier City, LA, where he is an Associate Pastor. My father helped lead me to the Lord at the age of seven while helping him cut firewood (the greatest day of my life).
I attended Homer High School, where I was actively involved in football (4 years), track (1 year), drama club (4 years), student council (2 years), and several other activities. I graduated in May 2005 and started my undergraduate degree at Louisiana Tech University in the fall. While in college I was heavily involved with the Baptist Collegiate Ministry and served at First Baptist Church in Norphlet, AR as the youth intern for three summers. I was licensed into the ministry in January 2007 by FBC,  Norphlet and continued to grow in my ministry. I met my beautiful wife, Lindsay, at BigStuf youth camp in Panama City Beach, FL the summer of 2008. She was raised in Tallahassee, Florida and  also served as an intern at a church there while attending college. We were married on May 23, 2009 (the second greatest day of my life) and we presently reside in Fort Worth, TX to pursue my Masters of Divinity degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I hope to continue my education while serving in the place where God leads me.
